Kathleen Carnali "Rejoice" / Editor's Currently Listening To

Friday, September 11th, 2009 at 5:03 AM by Ruth Tynes / Online Editor / InTheTimes.com

Hi InTheTimes.com Girls!

I'm currently listening to the single "Rejoice" by Kathleen Carnali from the Dangerous Prayer album.

My fav lyrics? "Heaven shall open and / He shall come in the clouds / His eyes a flame of fire and / On His head there are many crowns / He shall come to rule the nations / And from His mouth will come a sword / His Name is written, KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS / Rejoice, Rejoice"

When I first started seriously reading the Bible for myself as a tween / pre-teen, I thought, "Ok, so I know that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, but what happens at the end of time?" So I flipped to the end of the Bible and was captivated by the book of Revelation (it still remains one of my favorite books in the Bible to read today) !

One of the focal points of the book of Revelation is the LORD's glory. Wow! The LORD has blessed mankind with very advanced brains / minds, but even in our vast wisdom, we cannot adequately comprehend the fullness of the LORD's glory!

I know how awesome my relationship is with the LORD right now and I can't even see Him, I cannot audibly hear Him, and it is amazing, so I am really stoked to experience a complete relationship with the LORD. Let Kathleen's song remind you to 'rejoice' in the wonders of the LORD !

Blessings!

Lanae' Hale Interview

Thursday, September 10th, 2009 at 12:00 AM by Ruth Tynes / Online Editor / InTheTimes.com

InTheTimes.com In the Times Entertainment Channel Lanae' Hale Interview Thanks for reading my InTheTimes.com feature! Click here to visit my web site for more info!

ITT: When / how did you decide that you wanted to sing / write professionally? Any advice / encouragement for InTheTimes.com girls who desire to be a professional Musician like yourself?

Lanae': I have always had a passion for music and I started writing and playing guitar when I was 15. About four years ago I competed in a singing / writing contest and through that event I started gaining some music contacts. From there God just began opening doors for music on a professional level.

I would like to encourage girls to pray and take as many opportunities that they can to get their music out there. I would also like to say to just keep practicing and growing the gift that God has placed in you.

ITT: Give InTheTimes.com girls a little insight on the songwriting process for you--how long have you been writing, is there a specific type of song that you prefer to write or that you feel you are gifted to write, etc. ?

Lanae': I started writing songs when I was 15 and I have always taken ideas and emotions from life experiences and have tried to put them to melodies. I LOVE writing! Certain songs come faster than others, and then sometimes I have to work and re-work a song until it becomes a piece of art that I am willing to share with others.

ITT: Give the InTheTimes.com girls a behind the scenes idea of what it's like recording an album--how long does it typically take to complete one song, do you basically 'live' in the studio during this process, etc.

Lanae': Oh yes, you are pretty much at the studio non-stop when there's deadlines to be met with a project, but I LOVE it! Recording is such a great experience! I love getting to experiment with different instruments and sounds to create something unique.

* BONUS VIDEO - Lanae' and her Centricity Records label mates record in the studio!

ITT: How do you feel that you have grown as an Artist during these past few years?

Lanae': I grew up in Florida and I moved to Nashville about three years ago, and I think that shift in my life--with pursuing music professionally--has impacted my writing and vocal abilities. I spend a lot more time building and honing my craft. I feel like being around a lot more Musicians and in a town such as Nashville, it has really helped my songwriting grow and mature.

Tammy Trent "Run Into the Arms of Love" /
Editor's Currently Listening To

Monday, September 9th, 2009 at 12:00 AM by Ruth Tynes / Online Editor / InTheTimes.com

Hi InTheTimes.com Girls!

I'm currently listening to the single "Run Into the Arms of Love" by Tammy Trent from the I See Beautiful album !
The I See Beautiful album is a great mix of upbeat dance tunes that longtime Tammy Trent fans look forward to, but the album is also filled with equally impactful, heartfelt ballads / soft sounds.

My fav lyrics? "His love can move a mountain and it can calm the sea / Can heal the broken hearted and set the captives free / Like an innocent child have faith in the little things / Believe in love you can accomplish anything"

God's love truly is a powerful thing! God's love can literally move a mountain and calm a raging sea if need be, but more times than that God's love heals the wounded hearts and souls of mankind. What hope I have in life knowing that whatever is going on, God's love will save me and preserve me through it all, good and bad.

If you haven't heard the single, click the link above to preview it for free!

Blessings!
