ITT:What's something really cool that God has been teaching you recently in life?
Alisa: God continually shows me how to live in a constant state of brokenness before Him. We human beings have such a tendency to try to act like everything is fine and we have it all together, if we live like that God has no room to work deeply in us.
I try to stay honest with God about how I feel, and I have found Him to work the most in me when I am in that place. It's like Paul said in 2 Corinthians: "I will only boast about my weakness"
Every one of us has a unique fingerprint that God has fashioned us with. I know there are better singers, better songwriters, and better musicians. But I believe God has something for me to do that is totally different than someone else, if that touches one life, it's worth it.

ITT:What's something really cool that God has been teaching you recently in life?
Caroline: I really do feel that God has a plan for everyone and if you believe in Him, have faith, and be patient, His plan for you will happen. It's like our song “Someday”--God has a plan for everyone.
It would be really good if I knew what was going to happen every single day—whether or not I was going to remember a dance step or the words to a song, or if I was going to pass a math test, or what it would be like to be 21 or 41 or even who I was going to marry! But I don’t know, so I need to learn to find God in my heart, trust in Him, and be open to His plans for me. Psalm 37:7 "Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him."

ITT:What's something really cool that God has been teaching you recently in life?
Carolyne: God has been teaching me a lot through the verse Psalm 37:4.
First, we started learning about it in church, because it was our mission statement. Then, God started teaching me stuff too.
This verse is so true, because I followed the Lord and He gave me the desires of my heart. He led me to this group and to the wonderful people that I have met and will meet on this amazing journey.

Nichole Nordeman on Life Pruning...

ITT:What's something really cool that God has been teaching you recently in life?
Nichole: I feel like God is sort of "pruning" my life right now...externally and internally.
I feel this very real need to eliminate all of the "stuff" in my life that inhibits me from living simply and from a place of authenticity.
There is so much junk in my life that distracts me from focusing on who God meant for me to be and how He wants me to live...and it's in EVERY area in my life. So I'm doing some pretty serious spring cleaning.
In my closet (literally)...tossing clothes I haven't worn in years....going through books and music that are collecting dust...going through my friendships and relationships and recognizing which ones are helping me to grow and which ones keep me stuck in unhealthy patterns.
I guess that's the major lesson I'm learning: how very much I really need to live the way God asks me to...and how great it feels to be unencumbered by the rest of the stuff we pile on.
