Hi ITTgirls !
Last week, we covered the basics of closet organizing. So now that you've got everything out of your closet, and back in based on their categories, you're probably finding that some handy dandy organizing tools would help out a ton!
I think one of the biggest time savers when it comes to getting dressed, is being able to see what you have!
Keeping a beautifully organized closet is a full-time job, so don't get discouraged if your closet isn't "perfect" overnight. After completing our first step, hone in on a specific area that needs to be sorted even more.
For example, one of my fashion passions are shoes. Within that, I luv flip flops. But just having them on my closet floor, well, let's just say I wouldn't be able to get in. (lol) Soooo, I got one of those over-the-door, envelope-type shoe displays. Now my flip flop collection is at eye-level, they get more protection from dust/etc. and it looks oh-so-cute! (smile)
I used to stress out over seeming to never achieve that "perfect" closet look (I know, travesty of the year right, lol, I'm a Type A perfectionist, give me a break, lol), but, I've realized that as with anything regarding fashion, it's a lifelong process. Things are never "perfect" because you're always getting new stuff! (smile) Which means that other stuff is going to have to be shifted a-g-a-i-n, to make room for the new members of the family. (smile) Soooo, either stop shopping and organize everything as is, orlive luving fashion and savor the fun experiences that this hobby / lifestyle brings. (smile)
I was studying the book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible recently and Chapter 2, Verses 17-26 really stood out to me. I was like, "Yeah, King Solomon was right... I mean, where is all of his beloved "stuff" now... Hum, that's kinda depressing God, one day someone will go through my closets and be like, 'What are we going to do with all of this junk?' Ahhhh, good thing I won't be there to see it happen! (lol) But yeah, we aren't guaranteed that people will treasure and take care of our things the same way we did, so have fun with the junk while we're still alive! That's part of the fun of this life You've given us LORD... Wow, cherish every moment of this breath called life on Earth..."
Soooo, this weekend you might want to hone in on further organizing / displaying your purse collection, then next weekend work on your hair accessories, then your jewelry, etc. etc. Bottom line, have fun ITT girlies!
Talk soon!
