Summer vs. Fall Clothes / Back to School Fashion series

Q: So, I know technically it's Fall when we go back to school, but it's still kind of hot where I live... It is alright to still wear Summer clothes?
Ruth:
I know, it can be very confusing trying to figure out what types of clothes to wear back to school... Most stores, catalogs, and web sites are pushing "Fall clothes" which usually consist of heavy fabrics, dark colors, layers, etc. It can be very tempting to think, "Am I out of fashion / style if I don't wear those types of clothes back to school?"
One of the big things to remember, is that fashion retailers are on a different schedule. When you are trying to sell a product(s), you cannot wait until the last minute to promote it to your customers and potential customers. So don't let ads, commercials, and displays intimidate you.
Climates vary from town to town, so dress for your local climate. Get good use out of your Summer wardrobe while you can, because you won't be enjoying it for a while--once Fall / Winter weather hits your region. Weather can quickly change from day to day--one day hot and sunny, the next day chilly and rainy, etc. So arrange your closet so that you can easily access pieces for the various temperatures.
Wear what makes you feel comfortable for your Back to School lifestyle!
