Q: I have to wear a boring uniform to school... I enjoy expressing myself through fashion so much, so this is very hard for me! Any ideas on how to add more personality to my uniform? Ruth: First off, always make sure to know your school Dress Code and obey it no matter how much you hate it. Ideas to spice up your daily garb include:
+ Glam Make-Up: Once again, double check your school Dress Code policy regarding make-up. If it's all clear, experiment with different make-up styles and colors! Find tips in the InTheTimes.com Fashion Blog Directory! + Girlie School Supplies: Carry cute notebooks, pencils, pens, folders, etc. to further express your style! + Fabulous Flats: Again, double check your school Dress Code regarding shoes. If it's all clear, click here for style ideas and tips! During my private school days, I looked forward to "Dress Down Days" where School Uniforms were not required. Check to see if your school has days like these, then look forward to releasing your inner fashionista! I also enjoyed hanging out with friends off campus, where I was able to tap into my fashion sense more freely. Soooo, call the girls up and plan a Saturday party over at your house, shopping trip, lunch, etc.!
