Staying Warm in the Spring / Seasonal Fashion series

Q: It's getting warmer where I live, so wearing a huge Winter coat is out of the question. But, it's still not warm enough to not wear a coat... Any ideas?

Ruth: Great question! You want coverings that you can easily shed when it gets too hot / warmer inside and outside. Similar to Winter layers, you want to create Spring layers. One of the biggest success keys to differentiating Winter layers vs. Spring layers is heavy fabrics vs. light fabrics. Spring layers utilize lighter fabrics, for example, in the Winter months you might want to wear a Wool Trench Coat, while in the Spring months, you might want to wear a Cotton Trench Coat.

Three styles of cover ups that go from season to season (all you have to do is change the fabric) are:
