ITT:Girls just love to hear about other girls beauty regimes, what's a typical Carolyne Myers beauty day like?
Carolyne: A typical 'beauty day' for me would have to be getting my hair cut and styled, having my sister do my make-up, and going shopping for a new outfit to wear.
Unfortunately I can't do that everyday.
A typical beauty day that I can do myself is wake-up, take a shower, straighten my hair, and use mascara. I always feel prettier when I wear mascara!!!!
One thing I like to do in my spare time is experiment with different hair styles and make-up patterns. That is one of my favorite things to do !!!!

Surviving the Make-Up Budget
Wednesday, November 19th 2008 at 11:24 AM by Ruth Tynes / Online Editor / InTheTimes.com
Q: My parents are allowing me to wear make-up, just not that much. They say they don't want me to "look too old" The other thing is that they have given me a "make-up budget" because they don't want me getting in the habit of spending a lot of money on make-up. I really don't have a problem with their rules, any suggestions on the best way to spend my make-up budget?
A: Wow! Many girls give their parents a hard way to go when it comes to make-up rules, congrats for doing as the Lord says and respecting your parents.
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor your father and mother"--which is the first commandment with a promise--"that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth." " (Ephesians 6:1-3; NIV)
First off, always remember that make-up should be used to enhance your natural God-given beauty, just like we use cute clothes to enhance what the Lord has given us.
What to know about shopping on a Make-Up budget:
+ Most of the things that we use Make-Up to hide, such as pimples, can easily be tamed by adapting a skin cleansing regime based on your unique skin type, by drinking enough water, maintaining a properly balanced diet, and getting enough sleep. Having clean and clear skin helps you save money in the Foundation department.
+ Have fun buying an assortment of Lipstick and Lip gloss! Change colors based on your outfit and mood. Accent your beautiful Lipstick / Lip gloss by keeping clean and healthy teeth and breath.
+ Want to easily change your look? Invest in a variety of Eye Shadows and Mascara!
+ Accent your beautiful eyes by keeping clean, shaped eyebrows. Get your Mom to help you or go to a pro.
+ Yes, Nail Polish is Make-Up too! Another way to change your look is to keep pretty fingernails and toes. Invest in a variety of Nail Polish that coordinates with your outfits.

Scented Lotion vs. Perfume
Monday, November 17th 2008 at 10:49 AM by Ruth Tynes / Online Editor / InTheTimes.com
Hi InTheTimes.com Girls!
Here are some basics to know about wearing Scented Lotion vs. Perfume:
+ Using Perfume is less time consuming, one or two sprays and you are out of the door.
+ Scented Lotion allows you to add extra moisture all over your body.
+ Be considerate of others and don't spray on too much Perfume.
+ When you are testing a Perfume, spray the fragrance onto a tester paper, then place it about one foot away from you and fan the paper gently to get an idea of what the fragrance will smell like to others.
+ Get the most out of your Perfume by spraying on your inner wrists and on the back of your knees.
+ Avoid spraying Perfume directly on your clothes, as it may stain.
+ Scented Lotion typically gives a 'lighter' smell.
+ Experiment with different fragrances! Alternate depending on your mood.
+ Remember that smells stick to clothes, so be aware of what fragrance you use when wearing clothes that must be dry cleaned.
