Seriously, we need to learn about ourselves before we can start thinking about someone else so much. And I know everyone always says this, but really take advantage of the time you have to focus on your relationship with the Lord whole-heartedly without the distractions of another person.
God will bring that special person into your life in His perfect timing, you don’t have to worry about it! Easier said than done I know, but just think about how cool it will be to save yourself for one man, your future husband! What a special day that will be when you can give your whole heart away, not just bits of broken pieces, to the man you’ll spend the rest of your life with!"

ITT:How did you meet your husband? How is he an encouragement to you, and what advice would you like to give InTheTimes.com girls when it comes to finding the Godly 'man of their dreams' ?
Shannen: My husband and I met in a small town here in Georgia. We actually didn't start dating until he took a coaching job at the University of Alabama. We fell in love through a long distance relationship and as the year went on we knew we couldn't live without each other. We have been married now for more than 15 years.
He is my best friend and the love of my life. He encourages me everyday to live life to the fullest, never take the little things for granted, and to never quit! He always tells me quitting is not an option. We have always put God first in our marriage and as long as we live, God will be our strength. I can't imagine life without my best friend.
Girls...first and foremost, God needs to be the focus before even thinking about the man of your dreams. Before you were born, God knew your name, He knows what's best for all of us, especially when it comes to a husband. Don't EVER settle for anything other than God's very best! That takes prayer, commitment, and totally surrendering yourself to Christ. Allow God to bring your paths together in His timing. God's timing is always best. I can promise you, if you allow God to pick your prince, you will not end up with regret!
