What should a first year Girls Ministry look like ?
By Ruth Tynes / Online Editor / InTheTimes.com Girls Ministry
1. Fulfill what you know God is calling you to do in Girls Ministry: Girls Ministry comes in many different packages and has many different manifestations. (see 1 Corinthians 12) But at the end of the day, we are all playing on the same Team. Be confident with what angle God has called you to minister in. (see John 21:15-22)
2. Minister to the unique and individual needs of the girls within the Youth Ministry: The effective Girls Ministry knows the needs of the unique Tween / Pre-Teen, Teen, and Young Adult girls who participate in the ministry. In the Times Girls Ministry has developed an easy-to-use, yet in-depth workbook that helps you learn "How to Identify the Unique Needs of Your Girls Ministry".
3. A faith walk: The Christian life is forever! "Very truly I tell you, whoever hears My Word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life." (John 17:24, NIV)
We are constantly growing and learning more. A healthy Girls Ministry isn't stagnant, but is a faith walk not only for the Girls Ministry Director, but also the Girls Ministry Leadership Team, girls, and parents! We fall down, we get up, just keep going!
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed--a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith." " (Romans 1:16-17, NIV)
