I'm the Girls Ministry Director, should I start the ministry first before trying to find a Team ?
By Ruth Tynes / Online Editor / InTheTimes.com Girls Ministry
It depends on the size of your Youth Ministry. If you realistically have the potential of hundreds of girls attending on a weekly basis, then you probably need a Team to help build a personal relationship with each girl. But if the number of potential girls attending is manageable for you, then try the initial operations yourself.
A lot of times as a Leader, we are too quick to delegate tasks to others. Embrace the opportunity as the Girls Ministry Director to gain knowledge and experience in all facets of Girls Ministry.
As you learn and grow, you'll want to solicit the help of others. Remember, most people / parents want to see what they are volunteering for first, before they commit.
"The LORD is with me; He is my helper...It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans." (Psalm 118:7-8, NIV)
