Girls Ministry Leadership / Administration often proves to be a touchy subject / decision, because "everyone expects the Pastor's wife to be in charge".

However, the reality is, that not all Pastor's wives feel called to this type of ministry within the Church. Additionally, not all Pastor's wives are equipped to minister effectively in this capacity.

The Pastor's wife should act responsibly by taking the time to pray and ask the Lord if she should accept the position of the Church Girls Ministry Director. (see Philippians 4:4-9)

There are a lot of additional responsibilities involved in taking on a position of leadership such as this and you need to be 100% dedicated. There is no place in Church Ministry for flaky leaders—one day in, one day out, starting a job and not finishing it—that type of behavior sets a bad example for the girls and women of the Church, and makes your Pastor husband look bad.

"We put no stumbling block in anyone's path, so that our ministry will not be discredited.

Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
" (2 Corinthians 6:3-10, NIV)

Your choice to assume additional leadership roles in the Church should be God-directed and not duty or ego directed. Don't be afraid to let another woman in the Church rise to leadership!

"Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.

Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.

If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.
"
(Romans 12:3-8, NIV)
