Wow! We've come to the end of another year of life. I was sitting quietly and just 'looking' at my life, and the life that we have shared as ITTgirls in the past year...we've lived a lot of great adventures in 2009! Good times, bad times, and everything in between! (smile) And guess what?! Undoubtedly, God was, is, and will continue to be faithful to us in all circumstances and see us through! (see 2 Timothy 2:13)
As I talked about in our special Christmas message, I thought that it was important for us to take time during 'the holidays' to read the various accounts of 'The Christmas Story'. Soooo, as I was doing that myself, there it was...my "theme" for 2010!
Now, just really quick, in the typical fashion of "girlie-girls" (read more about this at mypersonal Blog) it is customary to choose a "theme song" that matches whatever phase you're at in life. Thus for the new year, a "theme" is also selected. Looking upon your "theme" helps keep you motivated daily, as you continue to pursue accomplishing your life goals for that year and beyond!
Soooo, THERE IT WAS...in Luke 1:45,
"Blessed is she who has believed that what the LORD has said to her will be accomplished! "(NIV)
(squeal!!! lol) Isn't that an ultra fab "theme" for 2010?! So 'ya, we have a ton of super duper surprises coming up in 2010 in ITTland, and this is on the top of the agenda! This is now the Official ITTgirl Theme for 2010!
Together, let's BELIEVE that what the LORD has told us collectively--in terms of the whole Christian girl mission statement found throughout the Bible ('ya know, how we should be behaving as Christian girls / women) and then individually--as it pertains to the status of our past, present, and future life.
ITTgirls, God has given us so many dreams to accomplish in our lifetime, both 'personally' and 'professionally' ! Sometimes things don't happen as quickly as we'd like them to, because of situations, circumstances, etc. BUT, no matter how annoyed we may be because of those exterior forces, we really, truly, always have to focus on God, and look at the BIG PICTURE! So here's where we insert our theme...
"Blessed is she who has believed that what the LORD has said to her will be accomplished! "
(Luke 1:45, NIV)
That's the TRUE meaning of "faith" and "trust" in God! (smile)
Lots more to come, but I'll leave you with that thought--take the time to apply it to your own dreams / goals for 2010 and we'll talk more soon!
